Guess Creampuff isn't all that funny. She hasn't done anything to make it on here this time. ;)
The dogs aren't supposed to be on the beds, but that doesn't keep Regal from letting us know what he thinks about that when everything is in disarray waiting for the sheets to come out of the dryer.
Having Regal come live with us has certainly livened up this old gal's life. For the most part she really seems to enjoy having him around. Part of what she's enjoying is being boss over SOMEBODY...
Sure, she could have been Creampuff's boss, but what fun is that when the cat doesn't really care if you consider yourself her boss? She's already queen of her world in her mind and her opinion is the only one that matters anyway. Semper shows Regal where his place is by hoarding all the bones and showing him this very ugly face if he walks too close to her. Yup. It's good to be the boss.
Abby's artistic rendition of our doggie's relationship.
But really... does he look like he should be anybody's boss?
He can't even keep track of what his ears are doing.
Perhaps I should have warned you about this one.
This is Orbial.
She showed by our back door one morning in a most frightening fashion, but we have come to love her. She has chosen our home to be her home and we make sure that the bug guy is very careful to leave her alone when he sprays. She has deposited 4 egg sacs by the door and we are really hoping at least one of the babies hangs around next year. You could tell when she was about to lay another egg sac because her abdomen would get very swollen and she would leave her web to travel further up the wall with the rest of the egg sacs. We kept an eye on her all day watching her build the protective covering that she was making for her eggs. We were lucky enough to catch her actually depositing the eggs in the sac.
Since I am so far behind in blogging, I can tell you that one morning we got up and she was just gone. We knew that as the weather got colder she would die, but I thought we would have to pick up her body. So either something ate her or she took off on her own. I suppose it's actually better this way as I was a little concerned at the sadness the little 2 would have over their beloved pet dying. So, now we are watching over her four egg sacs and waiting for spring when they will hatch.

Have you googled how many babies will hatch out of each of those sacs?? :)
