When Daddy is gone, I try to think of fun things for the kids to do to make the time go by faster.
During this trip, we decided to have a sleepover in the living room, complete with forts.
After a pizza dinner, they each built their fort the way they wanted it to be and we watched Journey to the Center of the Earth. They knew that we were going to do this all day long and were so excited that I felt a smidge guilty for not having allowed them to do it sooner.
When the movie was over (which they LOVED, by the way!) it was time to brush teeth and get ready for the sleeping portion of the evening.
