Life in NC

Regal didn't really look like a puppy to us when we got him, but now that I look back at this picture, I see that he definitely looked more like a puppy than he does now.
I heart this little guy.

Manstyle: If both NFL teams both come from the same state, then the clothes match.

 OH, NO YOU DIDN'T!
I don't take kindly to stowaways.  So when I got to Jacksonville, went in Sam's Club and came out and found this disgust-o creature with it's soft squishy body and fine crunchy bones hanging out in my car, I wanted to just abandon it and start over.  I briefly considered it, but the reality of explaining that to my ever patient, but not that patient husband had me gently closing the door and not opening it again until we were home.  He had to be evicted, but I'm not completely heartless.  I could tell he was dehydrated by his wrinkled pale skin, so I dumped a cup of water on him and then pulled him out of MY car with a stick.  It is after all, MY car.  It's a frog/lizard/mouse free zone.  And YES, I was dancing and screaming like a little girl the whole time.  No shame in my game.

I thought for sure this was going to be a storm that produced a tornado that leveled the whole town of New Bern.  I'm not sure if I just need to get used to non-desert life or if this is as creepy and scary as it looked to me at the time.  And now.  Still looks creepy and scary now.

The kids were in the backyard cleaning up the little gifts doggies leave and sticks and pinecones so we could mow.  Abby came in and asked if she could stop as she thought she might be allergic to something by the back fence.  I don't think she was faking.

The hazards of trying to lunch in a home that is being remodeled.  Gets to be a bit much!

Shhh... Don't tell Jeremy.  He's not supposed to be on the furniture.

If you come to NC, we promise to take you to 37th St Pizza where they will make you the best calzone you have ever eaten in your life!  I am not even exaggerating.  To use my friend Anita's saying, "They're smack your mama good!"
