Happy Independence Day!

Let me begin this post with an apology for the picture quality.   I only had my phone with me, but I still love the memories!

Our sisters live within walking distance to a country club, so around dusk, we just grabbed our creature comforts that we thought we would need for the evening and headed to an open patch of grass where we could watch the fireworks.  It was great not having to deal with traffic or a ton of people.

The kids had so much fun catching fireflies and waiting for the show to begin.
As much as I miss AZ, I love to share bits and pieces of the staples of my childhood with them.  I love to watch them finding joy in the same things I did.

Funny little Sarah.  She surely wasn't cold, but those fireworks can be a bit wearing on the nerves of a 2 year old!

After the big show, we went back to Lorry's for some post-party sparklers and fireworks!

Happy Birthday, USA!
