Semper Fidelis

Over the last week and a half we have received quite a few phone calls regarding the helicopter crash in the Chocolate Mountains just outside of Yuma.  Unfortunately, one of Jeremy's coworkers paid the ultimate price for our freedom in the training accident.  Jeremy and I attended his funeral on Wednesday and while it was terribly sad to see his family and friends so grieved by their loss, it was a beautiful service, full of many kind words about a man who seemed to be admired by all he knew.  He was described by each as a man who excelled in aviation proficiency with incredible patience and clear decision making abilities despite adverse conditions, but above all else, a God loving family man.  My heart continues to ache for their family as they move on in this next stage of their life.  Please join me in remembering his wife, two sons, mother, father, sister and 2 brothers in your prayers.  If I live to be 100, the sight of Marines choked up at the loss of their "brother" will never cease to have a profound effect on me.  A short link to the local news story is below.
