Our plan for the day after we rode horses was to make amends to Marshall by taking the 3 amigos to the
Arizona Science Center. He loves all things pertaining to history and science, so we knew he would be in all his geeky glory at the Science Museum. Since the girls are pretty far along on the geek spectrum as well, we knew that they would enjoy themselves MUCH more than Marshall enjoyed that horse back riding, but hey, there's no sense in pointing that out to him!

| Unfortunately, Amelia woke up with a nasty stomach bug on Monday morning. That meant that she and I were to spend the day holed up in our hotel room. Actually, if I had to be stuck in a hotel room, this was the one to choose. Jeremy travels so much for work that he accumulates points on the Hilton Honors system rather quickly. He was able to get us 2 nights in a DoubleTree Suites for free. At least we had a bedroom and a living room and weren't stuck in an extremely small space all day. And since we canceled our cable, we don't get PBS anymore, so Amelia was happy to lie around watching all her old favorite shows all day. We were so grateful that she wasn't sick the day before and missed out on the horseback riding! |

| "Mr. I Gag Really Easy", I mean Marshall, was fairly disgusted by this real human brain. |

| Dancing magnet shavings. |

Must've been really funny!
Abby says they probably watched this for 30 minutes. |

| Demonstrating how computerized photos get from your home computer to anywhere in the world. |

| Capturing sand with your shadow. |

| Makes for really cool artwork, doesn't it? |

| Abby finally lets her evil side out for all to see! |
 |
A battle of the wits.
Abby lost every time.
Apparently the machine measured their brain waves and the goal was to be calm. Abby says she was too excited to be at the Science Center to be calm. :) |
 |
| Abby's brainwaves are flat-lined. |
 |
The face of a flat lined brain.
;) |
 |
| A contest for the most active brain waves. Abby was doing long division in her head and beat her little brother. |
 |
Marshall at the bottom of a large intestine slide.
We won't tell him what that makes him. Remember the overactive gag reflex? |
 |
A natural disaster replicator.
Ran the range from rain, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, volcano and fire.
I hear the fire (shown here) was the worst.
The hurricane was the most fun. Guess they'll be ready for life in NC!
Abby says that the earthquake wasn't all that impressive after our big ones here. |
 |
| Playing in mud. |
 |
Playing with the wind and making clouds.
You could even make a ring if you timed it right. |
 |
| Showing the different levels of energy required by different types of light bulbs. |
 |
| Jeremy making his ID for when he needs a spy job after his military career. |
 |
| Guess Abby is planning to join him. |
 |
| A telescope that showed photos for you to look at on the inside... |
 |
| But the big telescope in the room showed everyone else a different view... |
