When March rolls around, everyone at Yuma Central SDA Church knows what they have to look forward to! What is by far my favorite Social Committee event. DESERT BREAKFAST! It has all the makings of a perfect morning. Fresh air, sunshine, serene desert environment, your favorite people to visit.... Oh, and the food! Can't forget that! Yummy pancakes (with any kind of topping you can imagine), links, eggs, and lots of fresh fruit. We usually even get some oranges or grapefruits that someone has picked off of a tree in their yard. Talk about fresh and sweet!

A new reason to love Desert Breakfast this year...
Steve, a new member to our social committee this year has some AWESOME contacts!
No more dehydrating yourself this year to avoid having to find a spot behind a tiny, sparsely foliated desert plant in front of 50 of your best friends. Bring on the hot chocolate, juice and water! We're prepared! |

| Some of my favorite hard working ladies, whipping up beautiful pancakes, links and eggs right on the spot. |

| Jeremy gave a beautiful devotional and prayer before we ate. |

We are so blessed to have this Godly man as the head of our house.

Look at that line to get food! We usually plan for about 60 people, but I counted at least 87 this year. A few of the older kids had already left for a morning hike, so I know I missed them.
Don't look at my son making what appears to be a getaway with the bottle of syrup

| Our winter visitors start to leave in March, so we try to have this early in the month so that we can catch as many of them as possible for one last visit before they go. Usually we start eating around 0830 and by the time we're finished eating, it's starting to get a bit warm. Not this year. The comfy cool AZ winter weather is rolling right through March. No one was in a hurry to leave this year. Some people even broke out board games. |

The same guy who secured us the port-a-potties brought his jumpy house.

Amelia spent the bulk of her time collecting pets.
She was finding ants and keeping them in this cup.
She named them. Zoe, Chloe and "Ant" Holly!

This kid.
You would think she could get this underwear thing right at least half of the time, right?
Nope. They are on in some combination of wrong 100% of the time.
Sometimes they are backwards, sometimes inside out, sometimes both.
Today? Sideways. |
