Senators Wash

Before we went back to school for the year, we joined another family at a cool little spot about an hour away from Yuma called Senators Wash.  We met for the morning because Jeremy had to go into work during the afternoon.  I packed a little breakfast picnic of chocolate banana muffins, fruit, patties and orange juice.

The water was a perfect temperature and even though it was morning, it was already starting to get warm.

Marshall slowly testing out the waters.
The splash next to him is his little sister diving in with all she's got.
I love how different 2 kids from the same genetic pool can be.  And they are quite consistent!

I love the desert.  Everything about it.  I love the browns, with pops of green plants and the clear, cloudless beautiful sky.  Throw some water in there and it's perfect!  I think the desert is the only place you can get colors like this without using a special lens for your camera.

Abby had fun swimming and  boogey boarding with her friend Suzie.

The dads and teen boys got in the water around the corner from us and made their way over to where we were.

There's not a swimsuit made that can contain this booty!  Trust me, I've tried to find one!

Amelia showing Suzie how to make a seashell village.

The completed project.  She's hoping it will still be there next time we go back.  :D

Jeremy's flipper was rubbing him, but he was afraid to tighten it, that it would give him a blister on his heal.  So instead, he got this odd blister/abrasion on his foot.  I couldn't help but to give it eyes and a nose.  Hehe!
