The first Sunday we were home, my Aunt Shirley organized a family get together at a local park.  The weather forecast was calling for thunderstorms and rain, but the day turned out to be absolutely beautiful with a nice cool breeze.

My cousin, Matthew was leaving that day to begin a Pharmacy program at Temple University.  His wife had this cake made for him.

The attention to detail was amazing... right down to the little blue pills and his name!

Caleb giving that whole "sugar pill" theory a try!

As with most events, there was no shortage of yummy food.  I even got to check an item off my list of things I needed to do while in PA... have a red beet egg!

Amelia remembering what good chips they have in PA!

And corn so sweet it melts in your mouth.
(Have I mentioned how smitten I am with this baby???)

Marshall planning to exact his revenge on the relative of a bee that stung him a few weeks ago.  He says that revenge is most definitely best served cold!

There was lots of time to visit.  My cousin Michelle's family had just gotten back from a week at the beach.  The wild horses were a popular topic.

Marshall and Caleb had a good time talking Legos!

We got to meet my Aunt Sue's new GoldenDoodle puppy.

Sarah found some chocolate somewhere!

Caleb decided he wanted to walk laps around the park like Joshua around Jericho.
He ended up walking 8.4 miles!  Abby joined him for the last few laps.

Pappy and Grandma Bonnie even made it to the park!  There were quite a few bees that day.  Guess they like Turkey Hill Iced Tea too!  My Dad caught this one and put him in a deep sleep in the freezer.  Some things never change!  ;)
