And their amusement park is lots of fun too! We spent a day at Legoland, California while our family was here visiting us. We had an awesome time riding a few rides, but we mostly just enjoyed the things that you can only find at a place like Legoland. We took a rather long stroll through miniland. There is always something there that you didn't notice the time before. We even ran into a few friends that we didn't know would be there....

Abby exploring her darker side with Darth Vader....

Marshall and everyones favorite archaeologist, Indiana Jones
The kids had lots of fun jumping on the yellow circles. They would make the sound of different musical instruments to add to a one instrument song that was playing in the background.

One child outlasted the rest with her ability to jump non-stop. Care to take a guess who?
This fun little game had the kids aiming streams of water at various targets in the fenced in area.
Caleb, sporting his brand new amusement park priced Legoland CA sweatshirt which after one spin through the washer and dryer now says LEGOLA....(They were kind enough to replace it with just one bewildered phone call)
Scary, huh? Legoland has a driver education program that upon successful completion (not running into anyone else, says Amelia) gives them a "drivers license".... Much to her chagrin, Amelia was sent to the little kid track but that doesn't keep her from asking for my car keys.
I fear for my future....
Noah and Marshall navigating their way around the big kid track, complete with stop signs and traffic lights.
My 3 favorite guys rocking some hideous 3d glasses... We saw a LEGO Clutch Powers movie in 4d. It was pretty cool!

No fear of heights for Noah and Marshall. They each took a lever and one operated the height of their police car, the other controlled the spin.
Caleb in what surely is his Nirvana.... A Build and Test Workshop, where you design and create your own race car with tables full of any and every lego piece imaginable! HAPPY, HAPPY BOY!

Marshall's handy dandy turbocar...well, the sticker said turbo but he says it didn't make the car go any faster!

This was a really cool ramp they had set up for the kids to race their vehicles. Unfortunately, we saw the worst behavior in this room... and it was actually from the parents! I have never seen a pushier, bossier, more selfish group of people than was in this room. As I look at my pictures, I see that I've caught the most irritating of dad's in this picture of Marshall. Ugh. Intolerable! And we wonder about where the bratty behavior in today's children comes from....

Abby and her police car. It looked cool, but wasn't heavy enough to do as well as she would have liked in the races.

I was amazed at how well this sweet little girl tolerated being dragged around, doing all the things everyone else wanted to do. You could tell when she'd had enough of our foolishness. She would just choose to sleep for an entire day, no matter what we were doing. :)
The kids take one last spin with Pappy before the day is over! All I can say is that I feel like it's just a little bit of payback for all the rides he took me on as a child where I was hiding my face in his arm! :) What's that saying about what comes around? Oh yeah, it goes around... sometimes REALLY fast! Love ya, Pappy!
