For some reason my children keep having birthdays and growing older without giving a bit of thought as to how it hurts their Dad and I. For next year we've come up with a plan which makes us feel like geniuses..... We've given them the choice of either gaining the year OR getting the gifts at their birthday. The unanimous decision is to take the gifts and RUN! :)

Amelia was lucky enough to have her cousins here to celebrate with her. She wanted to go to a local pizza shop for lunch, Peter Piper Pizza. It's kind of like a bigger kid version of Chuck E Cheese, where the games are more fun, the prizes bigger, but unfortunately, the pizza tastes worse. ;) (Obviously, Amelia gives it a big two thumbs up though!)
Gee, do you see the theme? Someone likes princesses! Of course, there is no doubt in her mind that SHE in fact, is the best Princess EVER!!!

WooHoo, Aunt Lorry, great gift!!!

This was the only gift she asked for... a marine corps dog. You'll see she likes it so much it's already usurped her Daddy!
For not having a car or motorcycle license, Amelia did really well at this motorcycle game. My dad (who builds motorcycles for Harley, by the way) had to come get me to show me what a great job she was doing on the bike. She is such a funny girl, this picture pretty much sums her up... pretty purple dress and pink flower shoes COMPLETELY rockin' that motorcycle! I love the instinctive hunching down on the bike to become more aerodynamic.

Peter Piper does have pretty good prizes. Amelia won herself a dalmatian with her tickets and her cousin, Noah used his tickets to buy her the brown and white dog.
Later that evening, we invited a few friends over to have cake and sing with us. Amelia picked out this horse cake at the local Walmart. My faith apparently does not run deep as I was certain they would not be able to replicate the scenery on the cake. I was pleasantly surprised!
Singing Happy Birthday to our sweet baby girl....
Amelia and her "bestie" Katie
Amelia and the Goodman clan.... what an awesome way to spend a birthday!

What will surely be a blackmail photo one day for Fred's mom..... ;)
Happy Birthday, Amelia! We love you so much and are incredibly blessed to be your parents. We pray that you will always see God's hands in your life and that the zeal that you have for life serves you well.
