A meeting of the best and brightest in Yuma...

Our favorite little unsocialized homeschoolers got together with some of their peers early in December to kick off the holiday season. This year, the homeschooling families who live on base have banded together for biweekly meetings. We aren't able to attend most of the playdates, but try to arrange our schedules for special events like field trips and parties. The kids are all amazingly well behaved and have a wonderful time when they are together.

The kids had fun jumping in a bouncy house, running sack races, making ornaments, eating lunch and exchanging small gifts, completely unaware of the evil that their mothers were concocting for the New Year.... the presidential fitness awards. :)

The big kids take their turn at making pinecone ornaments

Then the little kids...

Amelia and Marshall's friend Brett. Brett decided to accompany Amelia in her activities this day. I even heard him inquiring at one point about whether or not she has a boyfriend.
Amelia chose Brett's anonymous gift... and he hers. :)
