Christmas Day 2009

We had lots of fun Christmas morning... Abby was the first one up at 7am. We let them open their stockings as they come downstairs.
Marshall and Amelia weren't far behind her. Everyone was up and moving by 7:30.
Marshall looking to see which tags say M-A-R-S-H-A-L-L....

Amelia's first peek at the tree and the gifts. Notice the doll tucked under her arm. It was a Christmas Eve gift from the Goodman family. She calls it her American Girl doll and in her mind it validates her big girl status. She's not been without it since.

We had lots of fun watching each other open presents!

Christmas morning snuggles for Creampuff. She's the only cat I've ever seen who can actually smile. I think she liked her big ball of catnip that Abby picked out for her.

Sibling love... isn't it precious?

After opening our gifts, we had a Christmas breakfast of French toast... barely touched due to the excitement over gifts. The rest of the day we spent in the company of great friends. I feel so blessed that even though we can't be with our family, we have special friends to make our memories with!
