Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was lots of fun at our house. We invited our friends, the Goodmans, over to help us make gingerbread houses. I was amazed at how long they sat at the table working on their little sugary projects. It was a great way to relax after all the prep work for Christmas.
Hot glue gun operator Jeremy helped the kids build their foundations... for Abby it's a village of teepees!

Last year, Amelia skipped the middle step and just ate almost all of her decorations. This year, she had a blast gluing them on with frosting.

Good thing it's not real glue, huh?

This is Marshall's "Can I be done yet?" look...

Abby and Autumn... I love that Abby has such a sweet girl for a friend. They are like two peas in a pod!

My job was to help Amelia squeeze out every last little bit of icing.

After the Goodmans went home, we chose cookies for our visitor and some veggies for his reindeer. Then the children were nestled all snug in their beds...

Jeremy's dirty little secret... The look on Marshall's face the next morning as he examined a partially eaten cookie was priceless. Good job taking one for the team, Daddy!
