Our church had the most beautiful vespers service on March 12th in a little spot in the desert called Palm Canyon. It was an hours drive out into the desert between Yuma and Phoenix.

The day was just a bit chilly, but after walking in the sun for a few minutes, you warm right up.
The desert is so beautiful.

The hike into the canyon was less than a mile.
Thankfully the only wildlife we saw were lizards.

This area looks like it's flat, but parts of the easy hike were actually on an incline. Marshall makes me chuckle because he is always so cautious.
Can you say CRAZY??? You wouldn't catch me up there! This is the close up view....

The far away view.... See that teeny tiny white shirt?
Teenage boys are nuts!
Our Pastor and "Little" Fred after their descent from the canyon.
The little kids tried to follow Jeremy and Abby up into the canyon where the Palm trees grow. Marshall came back willingly. Amelia was sent back.
We waited in a shady spot with some other church members.

The actual Palm Canyon... the palm trees are growing in the shade. Oh, and see that white thing?
That's my beloved and my first born perched precariously on the edge.

Baby Beaven and Baby Cactus. aka Meemers and the most dangerous thing she could find on the ground since she was sent back from the cliff face....
As the sun begins to set, the canyons begin to glow.
So pretty!
We had a yummy dinner of hot dogs, potato salad, cake and oranges picked fresh from a friends tree.
My first baby!
The moment before the sun dips below the mountains is pure magic!
