Abby's 13th birthday and other reasons I feel old... ;)

That's right, our sweet baby girl turned 13 on April 11.  It literally seems like just yesterday I was looking into a clear little basinet marveling at how my baby could be so beautiful.

The kids all chose their DOC (dinner of choice) for their birthdays.
Abby wanted canned hot dogs, mac and cheese from a box (not that
fancy stuff from the oven like I usually make) and peas.  We watched
Despicable Me while we ate.  Funny thing is, this is the EXACT same
dinner she chose at 2.

Marshall loves his big sister!

Amelia actually woke up teary eyed on Abby's birthday because she thought
Abby had to leave for College now that she was a teenager.  She was
pretty happy to learn she still has a few years, though still brings it up at
random times that she's not ready for Abby to leave us yet.  Of course, Abby
has no desire to leave any time soon anyway, so she feels a bit of stress
whenever the subject is brought up.  She has already asked if
she can attend Primavera Online for college.  ;)

Totally happy with the brand name of this shirt!

Abby's doll Addy got a doll for Abby's birthday.... Didya
keep up with that one?  Her name is Ida Bean.
And we must be da suckers cuz we spent so much for
a doll for our doll to give to her doll.
Marshall quickly bored of watching Abby open American girl stuff and
clothing so he moved on to some magazines of the Scientific sort that
were tucked into one of the packages from family.
Abby also got Addy's pet bird.   This is Amelia planning how it will be hers one day.....
All she has to do is get Abby on that bus to College....

This is what 13 candles look like crowded onto a chocolate cupcake with
peanut butter frosting.  Scary, huh?
We are incredibly blessed to be a part of this young lady's life.  I have enjoyed watching her grow through every stage and even in these "difficult" teen years, we see a very mature put together girl.
We pray that she will maintain her sweet nature and love for God.  Yup.  Blessed We Are!
