This past Sunday, our church had a Family Fun Day to raise money for the church school. Since Jeremy was asked to be a Sheriff for their "prison" and I was asked to make some baked goods, we decided we would just all go and hang out for the afternoon. We had lots of fun and yummy food and were happy to support a good cause.

Sheriff Jeremy putting on his best tough guy face!
(Be honest... it's scary, isn't it?)

Church secretary, Bonnie, begging her case and hoping that her check to cover her release meets up to her Jailer's expectations

I found our sweet mild mannered pastor rifling through his own wallet to spring himself! His poor wife was stuck at the food cash register and couldn't help him.... or could she? ;)

We all enjoyed the yummy food. We had lots of Mexican choices... Tostados, Chile Rellanos and Tamales. For those who don't care for Mexican, they had Spaghetti. The principal of the school said that she wasn't sure how anyone could live this close to the border without liking Mexican food.... We're going to let Marshall make her a power point presentation to show his position.

I think this face pleads the case for Italian quite well!

The kids very quickly realized that the Sea of Galilee was the place to be! For just 2 tickets they had a chance to win either a baggie full of goodies or....

A real live goldfish!
This little guy is one of five that came home with us. One has passed over to the "Big Sea in the Sky" but surprisingly, the kids actually took to heart our advice to not get too attached as these fish had a very rough day on Sunday!

The playground is ALWAYS a favorite and this one has one of those old mega tall metal slides that were around when I was a kid. I'm sure that they are probably illegal in most states, but the kids love this one!

When we found out that there was going to be a parent-child three legged race, we knew exactly who our entrants would be! The two members of our family that have the ability to float above the ground as though they are weightless.

Did you really have to scroll down to see who won?

Amelia was the only one who was interested in playing any game that didn't result in us bringing home a new member of the family. Here she is tossing crowns...

and wearing them!

Towards the end of our time at the Fair, we couldn't find Marshall. We looked high and low and he was nowhere to be found. I finally found him lying on the carpet behind the Jail, drowsy and out of energy! He is never without a smile though!
