How to celebrate Valentines Day...

the homeschool way....

Abby placing her Valentines in her friends "mailboxes"

The homeschool group here on base got together for a super fun Valentines Day party. Why should kids who attend a brick and mortar school be the only ones who get to eat lots of sugar and give away cheap cartoon cards? ;)

There were lots of fun crafts...

Just me or is this girl growing up too fast?

Here is Amelia with the "ipod" she made out of a box of sweethearts and a couple of mini peanut butter cups. Of course anyone who knows her already realizes that she really was disappointed to figure out that it didn't play real music after it was put together.

There were lots of fun games...

Marshall beating Daddy in a mean game of bean bag toss
(of course Marshall gained the advantage by stealing Jeremy's sunglasses at the beginning of the match! Jeremy's becoming quite the softy in his old age.)

Amelia (not) winning in a game of retrieve the heart shaped candy as quick as you can with a pair of kiddie chop sticks...

There was lots of time with our friends...

A very grown up Abby in her element... enjoying lunch with her girlfriends.

Marshall and his bestest buddy Brett. Poor Brett had surgery a few days before the party and was thrilled to see that it didn't even phase Marshall. That's quite a testament to what a great actor Marshall is. That boy has such a queasy stomach. You never would have known though!

My three beautiful gifts from above... I love them each SO much!

My two most handsome Valentines. I am such a lucky girl!

We hope that each of you had a most special Valentines Day!!!
