The last of the random AZ pics

Amelia has been wanting this little stuffed bear from Panda Express ever since we arrived in Yuma.  Fortunately for her, she lost quite a few teeth just before moving and had the $ to purchase him on our last trip to Panda Express.  (Which made all of us sad... BUT we found an exit in VA with a Panda Express, right between PA and NC!  So now when we feel the need to pretend that we are still in Yuma and enjoy some yummy chow mein at the same time, we know where to go.  YAY!!)

As things went in the boxes, Creampuff started looking around and gathering what was important to her.

I have my moving buddy!

This little guy has been tormenting me since our last trip to Thailand.  Laura told me that she bought one of these little rubber geckos for me because the girls thought it would be hilarious to scare me with it.  She misplaced hers, so while we were at the market in Bangkok, I picked up another so that I could show it to the kids at the church school in Yuma when we did our Thailand presentation during their unit study.  Since we had one, I decided I'd let the kids "scare" me.  We were all jonesing pretty hard for some Subway, so I unwrapped mine and tossed this little guy in my sandwich.  I stalled while everyone else got their sandwiches all set up and started eating and then tried my best to give a natural (aka foolishly over-exaggerated, yet unstoppable screaming).  She found hers after we left and mailed it to me.  (Hope no one was watching me as I walked back from the mailbox that day!)  I keep finding one of the two of them in random places and it scares the daylights out of me.  Every time.

I love this house in Yuma.  It's certainly not the biggest, but I love it's (authentic) retro 50's look, mix of desert landscaping and grass, the arched doorway on the driveway side and it's difficult to see, but the whole right side of the house has a really cool trapezoid shaped window that spans the top part of the house.  It reminds me of The Incredibles house if they lived in AZ.  I think I may have to buy this house one day when we need to downsize.  :D
