Easter this year found us enjoying the things that have become tradition for us on this special day. Fortunately my children seemed to have reached a magical age where I can actually get it all done in one day! Unlike recent years, we won't be dying any Easter eggs or having an egg hunt during the week following Easter. We invited our Pastor and his wife over to celebrate with us. They are without their kids and grandkids and we are without our family, so we thought what better way to enjoy the day than to adopt our own grandparents? ;)
Unfortunately, I forgot to call my sister and ask her to send us a package of Doc Hinkle's, so we were stuck with the regular drop the egg in the dye type Easter egg coloring. Not nearly as fun and creative, but I did find a package that had some food safe markers the kids could use.
Learning patience while waiting for the egg to get "bright" enough.
Amelia and her little chick egg.
Last year of having to carefully extract your Easter eggs from cacti. :'(
See the Zebra colored egg in the green planter? We tried so hard to help Amelia find it, but she kept walking right by.

Marshall was the first to reach his egg quota... Minus 2. Got over excited and initially counted wrong. :D
Now both girls unable to see the invisible zebra egg.
Finally with enough cues, Amelia found it!
We hope that you enjoyed your day as much as we did!
