The kids look forward to playing with Grandma's extensive old school lego collection. (see the background above) Each has their favorite pieces that they remember and can't wait to play with again. They had a blast playing with Zachary and Lauren, Jeremy's sister's kids too. I love how the kids pick right up where they left off the last visit.

It absolutely amazes me how much Lauren resembles my girls. Sometimes I see Abby and others Amelia. She is just as precocious as Abby ever was. Even at 2 1/2 her verbal skills are amazing. Not surprising since her brother is the same way! I enjoyed her chats with me and getting to know her for the little girl she has become. She is so very sweet and I was so happy to hold her and talk to her for as long as she was willing!

Although a little blurry, I love this picture of Abby and Lauren playing. It represents for me, the little girl I had and the beautiful young lady she's grown up to be. It was great to watch Abby and her role as the much more mature cousin. She delighted in making Lauren laugh and in this picture was distracting Lauren who was having a difficult time keeping up with Marshall, Amelia and Zachary's more rambunctious play.
Marshall and Amelia were super happy to find a familiar face at Grandma's church!
Right about this time, they were really missing that guy!

The last Sunday we were home, we met at Grandma's house for a brunch with a few of our favorite, handsome men, Jeremy, Joel and Jay. Jeremy had driven up on Friday from NC to attend his dad's Vietnam reunion in Washington DC, so they just motored on up a few more hours and spent the morning with us! It was great to see Joel and Jay and to get to see Daddy after 3 weeks, even if it would only be 3 days until we were back in AZ again.
