Amelia's VERY late 5 year photo session...

Back in February, we attended the Rodeo here in Yuma. (See post here) Before we left, Amelia fell in love with the prettiest cowgirl hat I've ever seen. Daddy was with us, so of course it came home. (He says he rules with an iron fist.... Yeah, RIGHT!!!!) Her smile was bigger that night and the dimples even deeper. I knew then that I wanted to capture her right at this age. I set about finding the perfect outfit... and it took FOREVER. I quickly found the skirt and boots I was picturing in my head. The shirt was another thing. I really wasn't sure what I was looking for, but knew when I saw it, I would know it. Finally I found it. Right before our trip to PA. I didn't have time to get her in for the picture and figured I'd waited 4 months at this point, what difference would one more make? As you know, she broke her foot in PA and a Rodeo Princess with one cool cowboy boot and one cast just doesn't have the same wow factor that I was going for.... So we waited some more. We finally got the pictures done and I'm quite pleased with the results. I know my last baby is going to grow, but now I have record of her exactly as she is, even in her own mind at this age.

She's so beautiful. I can't believe how much she's grown. I saw a bit of Abby in her in some of these pictures.
