Our sweet baby girl decided that she was ready for Baptism into our church. She studied with our pastor for a few months beforehand, learning all she needed to know to make an informed choice. She seemed to enjoy her weekly visits with him and by the end of their study, we all were happy to have a new friend!
Abby was baptized on April 10th, the day before her 12th birthday. My dad was still here visiting, as well as my sister and her family. It was quite the day and I think that I was happier than the day I was baptized. It is truly incredible to watch someone you love more than life itself make such a momentous decision.
As if the day wasn't fun enough, our wonderful friends, the Goodmans hosted a lunch in Abby's honor after the church service. As always, the food and fellowship couldn't be beat! I loved being able to share my AZ friends with my family too. Talk about best of both worlds!
Later that week, Abby was honored with her baptism pin at Pathfinders. She now sports a special little pin on her Pathfinders uniform indicating that she is a baptized member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
