Birthday Parties in BORDERTOWN!

We recently had the pleasure of attending a birthday party here in Yuma. It was held at a local park. One of my favorite aspects of military life is the moving. I love getting to know a new place and experiencing new cultures. Every once in a while I see something that reminds me of how special and different it is here.

At this particular event it was this..... It kind of looks to me like the park comes with it's own permanent execution station, but it is actually a built in Pinata holder!

Some of you may wonder "Well, how much use could it POSSIBLY get?"
Here's your answer. This was the ground BEFORE we did our parties pinata.

I have a feeling this little monkey could see.... She is definitely motivated by those sweet little confections inside!

Thought I would leave you with a few pictures of the kids... I think Abby was hot and certainly less candy motivated than some who waited in line for their turn at the pinata.

Amelia and Mabel found some ants to "help"

Marshy found this climbing tree irresistible and spent a fair amount of time enjoying it's shade
