It's Marshall's Birthday too, YEAH!!!
On March 3rd, our sweet baby boy turned 7! I'm not exactly sure how time goes so quickly or why my babies want to grow up so fast, but here is another birthday season upon us.
This year we felt very lucky that Jeremy was able to arrange his work schedule so that he could be here for Marshall's birthday. He has had to take a lot of small trips so far this year so his presence has been somewhat hit or miss. We were deliriously happy that he was able to be here for Marshall's special day.
We let Marshall choose what we did that day...
Marshall is a natural!
I'm sure the yellow ball helps! ;)
Marshall went first... the boy broke 100!
(I am the last M... for Mommy. I was pretty pleased with my score too! I rarely break 100. Let's just say no bowling teams are hounding us for our participation!)

There were lots of hugs to go around...

It's a birthday lunch for a champion... hot dog and french fries.
He is reading chapter books now and loves the Magic Tree House series. We had a few of those from Abby's book collection, but they were the types of animals she was interested in. We found a few that are right up Marshall's alley.

After the bowling, we came home and let him open the packages that were mailed to him.

This kid sized shark body pillow was a big hit and has taken up residence in his bed. He has counted the gills and inspected the skin and considers it a more than adequate specimen of shark. He is funny because in true male fashion, he is little scared by it, but really LOVES it all the same!
After dinner a few of Marshall's friends stopped by for cake.
Marshall and his bestest buddy, Brett. He is a sweet boy who along with almost all of Marshall's friends will be moving this summer, so we're enjoying our time with him now.
Patrick is our funny little neighbor boy who loved giving Marshall the toy he chose just for him but was not happy with having his picture taken. I had to include it... Aren't kids great? :)

Either Jeremy's tired or he got old and didn't tell me.
Wish we could have been there to celebrate. I'm not so good at the bowling thing either and I usually break a nail but I can cheer. Looks like a great birthday.
