to grow up! Little Ms. Amelia has lost her first tooth! After a few weeks of wigglin and jigglin, her tooth popped out last night over a bowl of soup. (Gee, think it was ready to come out?)

| The next tooth has already popped through the gums and is well on it's way to being a full fledged tooth! I hope that she doesn't do what Marshall did and have almost no time without his two front top teeth. I LOVE the toothless phase! |

The note she wrote to the Tooth Fairy, complete with I haven't started school yet spelling:
Dear Tooth Fairy, Please give me two (spelled out because she says she can't draw a 2, HEHE) dollars. Marshall is going to CATH (catch) you. Amelia
Background info: Marshall was busily setting a trap for the tooth fairy. He wanted to catch a glimpse of her. He was going to trick her by putting his stuffed bear at his pillow and then lying with his head at the end of the bed, covered with a blanket. He was going to stay up all night and "spy" for her. He hid a book light and a camera in bed with him for proof. Of course, as soon as he saw Amelia's warning to the Fairy, he started to back peddle, not wanting to miss out on any future visits he may want from her. So he made up for it by leaving her a note telling her that she is awesome...
As they were getting ready for bed, I heard Amelia ask Abby if the Tooth Fairy was half woman/half fairy. |

| Just so you don't feel the need to contact CPS, we have plenty of beds and bedrooms in our house. They just all choose to sleep together and sometimes choose to sleep on the floor. And as far as the mess goes, if you have a magical solution for how to get a 13 year old to keep her room clean without losing your own mind and sounding like a crazy person on a daily basis, please share! ;) At this point, I'll try anything! |
She was super excited to find her prize this morning and even woke me up, shoving it in my eyeballs before they were open. Marshall told me it was the worst night of his life. He never saw the tooth fairy. He fell asleep. He was honestly surprised. You could hear his disappointment at his body's weakness. ;) I tried to reassure him that we had a very busy day yesterday, swimming and diving and that I'm sure that led to his inability to stay awake. I suppose sometimes growing up is fun... but I don't have to be happy about it. ;)
