Buy me some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks!

Jeremy wanted to take the boy (and any interested females, which turned out to be all 3 of us!) to a pro baseball game as we look to what we want to do before we have to move from Yuma next Summer.  ** :'( Sniff Sniff**  We decided to take advantage of the Padres' outdoor stadium and head in that direction.  I am SOOO glad we did.  This game topped any of our expectations.  We left the house Sunday morning, arriving in time to enjoy a delicious lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory, which is BY FAR my favorite restaurant.  It really makes me wonder how the Olive Garden has gotten so popular.  ;)  By the time we finished eating, we had about an hour and a half before the game started, so we decided to head over to the stadium and peruse the gift shop.  In the back of the shop, Jeremy found a door that let out to the ball field.  We hopped right on out there to watch the Astro's warming up.

One of the players warming up tossed the boy a ball, complete with grass stains and man sweat.
AWESOME!
(Sorry about the quality of the photos!  We thought our normal camera would be cumbersome and that there wouldn't be much reason to get a photo besides one of us sitting in the stands, so we left it at home.  These pictures are a result of Jeremy's phone.  Yet further proof that it's time for an UPGRADE!  HEHE!)
We very much enjoyed the game.  We had popcorn and cotton candy (the cotton candy was a first for the kids and I think it's safe to say that they liked it!)  Some of our friends were in San Diego for a marathon and found us in the stands.  It was lots of fun to visit and chat with them and Marshall really enjoyed having their son there to watch the game with.
After the game, the Padres invited all the kids down to run the bases on the field.  Of course, Amelia's flip flop broke in a seemingly unfixable way just as we were heading that way.  While standing in line, Abby found a broken zip tie that Jeremy was able to MacGyver her shoe back together.  :)
High Fiving the Padre!
And... They're OFF!
The Meemers rounding home plate.  What an awesome day!
After the game, we headed back to Yuma, tired and happy.  Thanks for the great day, Daddy!

So where are you going next? Do you know or can you tell?

Well, Tima, I don't know where we are going next for sure, but I would say that it is by far most likely that we go back to Cherry Point. I wish that we could stay here. We all love life in Yuma!
