The third and final birthday has gone down without a hitch! It was a day of fun just for Abby and thank goodness it only rolls around once a year because the food choices were just awful! We started the day with her breakfast of choice, cinnamon rolls. She is really the only one who cares for them and polished off two rather quickly. Marshall and Amelia picked at theirs and devoured grapes and bananas instead. We were then invited to our local McDonald's by the manager who just adores Amelia and found out it was Abby's birthday. Our friend April joined us and even Jeremy was able to get away from work for a bit. They gave her a free lunch, ice cream, and even a cake with a 9 on it. I have to say that I have never seen the employees of a McDonalds sing to anyone before. Let's just say there's a reason for their day jobs! :) Abby very much enjoyed it and it certainly added to her day. After that we came back home and she played with her brother and sister for the afternoon, enjoying her free pass from school. She also helped me bake a big cookie and decorated it all by herself. For dinner, she chose a mexican place where feliz cumpleaƱos was the song of the day. Doesn't Abby look dashing in her sombrero? It had to have weighed 5 pounds, but she did a good job of holding her head up anyway. To finish off the day, we went to see the circus that was in town. I'm sure it was no cirque de soleil, but it was fun anyway. The girls rode the elephant.... the boy was too smart for that! He traded his elephant ride for some popcorn. They all had pony rides and seemed to enjoy themselves. There was lots to see and the dirtbike tricks, elephants, and acrobatics all went over well. It was after 10 pm when we got home and it was wonderful to sleep in until 0745. I can now breathe easy for this birthday season is over.....

Your children are awful, mean people for growing up.
