Jeremy is back from Alaska! We picked him up last Friday and have been hearing stories of reindeer, moose, snow and ice ever since. I've included some of the pictures that he took while enjoying life near the arctic circle. He said that there was only about 4 hours of daylight, so most of his pictures are in the dark. The town next to the air force base is actually named "North Pole". When we picked him up, Abby asked the usual animal lover questions...."Did you see (fill in the arctic animal)". While she was disappointed that there were no tails of Polar Bears and Penguins, she hid it well and was easily consoled with her token tshirt and pencil. Marshall was very happy with the airport and especially enjoyed watching a jet take off. Amelia has been happy to have Daddy back at home and is perfecting her husky "No, Daddy!". Jeremy was especially tickled when one night this week, Marshall wanted something at the dinner table and addressed him as "Hey, Mr. Guy"..... always makes a dad feel loved, eh?
Jeremy's leave will begin tomorrow. We plan to go to Orlando next week for a few days. We're hoping to get in some tourist spots as well as a good visit with Steve, Carey, and Zachary. Marshall is very excited at the prospect of seeing an alligator and as "Gatorland" is my favorite Orlando attraction, I think he'll probably get his wish!
