The return of Summer!

We here at the Beaven house are ecstatic that summer is here! It is unseasonably cool here, but we've been able to enjoy a few outings to the park and even a day on the slip and slide. The community pool opened up this weekend, so we're looking forward to our daily swims. It certainly helps to pass the days while we wait for Jeremy to return.
Speaking of Jeremy, he is doing well and he wanted me to let everyone know how much he appreciates the emails, letters, and packages that he receives. A taste of normal life is always a welcome addition to an otherwise busy day. He works a lot, but we are able to talk to him on skype a few times this week, including a much needed "date" this past week. We had to type back and forth while using video so that the kids couldn't hear him talking and try to hone in on my time! Next time I'll be better prepared with candlelight and his favorite dinner! :)
