Thank God for our Heroes!

Tyler, Aaron, John and April Copas

Our friend John came home from Iraq yesterday! We were able to be there for the homecoming and it was just as fun experiencing it from a different point of view. I appointed myself photographer for my scrap-happy friend April and thought I was able to catch some touching moments. He left in August, so as you can imagine his family (and the rest of us, of course) were tickled to see him! You would think that his trip home would have exhausted him but his desire for the best Italian on the Eastern seaboard led us all to 37th st Pizzeria for dinner. Ever had Manicotti at what felt like 4am before? He did an incredible job of keeping up with the conversation and staying awake.
Having attended yet another predeployment brief just last week, I am already looking forward to another reunion for a deployment that hasn't yet begun!
