I am thankful for....
the satisfaction of completed projects!
Ok, not COMPLETED, completed, but my part is finished! And I even have a full NINE days before we have to leave for Thailand. Last year, I was still sewing Marshall's stocking in the car on the way to catch our flight in L.A. I had a prepaid envelope all ready to go, so when I finished, Jeremy blocked a postman's truck so the poor guy couldn't leave without taking the package. ;) So I am feeling ahead of the game!
As of this year, everyone in my family will have a handmade cross stitched Christmas stocking.
I just have to mail this out for a friend to actually turn into a stocking. While my sewing skills have improved just a wee bit, I am still not willing to risk ruining something that has been many hours of work for me. My favorite part about this stocking? I turned the Teddy Bears sweater into a Marine Corps Dress Blue jacket.
YAY!!! It's DONE!!!
I am also thankful for Jeremy's brother, Joel because today is his birthday!!
Happy Birthday, Uncle Joel!

Your "new" stocking is beautiful.
How special your family must feel to see how much work you've invested in making such detailed stockings for them to use only a couple weeks during the year.
