We packed a whole day of Autumn fun into one day this past Sunday! We spent the morning frantically searching stores for suitable pumpkin carving pumpkins... but with little success! Literally. All we could find were tiny pie pumpkins. :( Next year I'll plan ahead and get them sooner. They each chose a tiny pumpkin and we headed home to decorate/carve them. Marshall and Amelia decided they would rather just draw on them so I got out the markers and glittery gel glue and let them have at it!
Amelia drew this cute little dalmatian on hers. I tell ya, it's like I'm raising the same girl twice!
Abby is a bit more of a traditionalist when it came to her pumpkin. She decided to sketch a howling wolf onto her pumpkin and then carve it out with Daddy's help. When it got dark, she lit it up with a little candle! She did an excellent job. It was the perfect decoration for our porch.
It was a busy day for Jeremy, as it was the last day of WTI and he had a daytime meeting and then back in the evening for graduation. Our friends, the Waldrons and the Lammers joined us for trick or treating.
(The sunsets around here never cease to amaze me. Even in photos they are gorgeous.)
Gee, anyone have any guesses as to why this Gronkle was tripping over rocks and sidewalks?

This was our view for most of the night. Amelia would always finish first and come running back, asking "Next house? Next house?"

She never tired out and believe it or not, carried her stick horse with her the ENTIRE way. I thought for sure I'd get to hold it about a block or two into our trick or treating.

Love those costumes! J was a stick figure and Karina was Maid Marian because she couldn't find a bow and arrow. She wanted to be Rowanhood. Adults didn't know who Maid Marian was. LOL.
Funny about the pumpkins, we tried to find some and gave up. No pumpkins this year.
