Just so you don't think that we are terrible "boy" parents, we did take Marshall to a different mall with a Lego store when we left American Girl. He was able to exert some serious testosterone AND got to pick 2 lego sets AND a lego ds game; still only spending half of what those girls did.

We found this in a target in LA. The store was 3 stories and they were kind enough to have escalators for you AND your cart. Bizarre. (Jeremy totally acted like he didn't know me while I took this picture. UGH! Tourists!)
We stayed one more night in CA and attended the Loma Linda SDA church in the morning where we met our good friends, the Olsons and spent the day with them. We were best of buds when we lived in WA state 6 years ago and much like all friends with whom you have history, it's like picking up right where you left off. Of course, the last time we saw them, Abby was 6 and Marshall 1. We had a most delicious lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Who knew I LOVE spumoni? I do!
We went back and spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out with
them, the guys taking the kids and their dogs to the park for a bit. After dinner, we went to the Redlands Concert in the Park series where we were treated to some music by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Marshall, Jeremy, Greg and Amelia

There are a few Targets around here that have those cart escalators. They're wild, aren't they?
I miss Redlands Bowl!
