Like, total bummer, DUDE!

The second annual Beaven Family Migration to the North Pole via Williams AZ and the Grand Canyon Railway has been postponed.... due to, of all things, snow! Late last night, I decided to check exactly how cold it was going to be as we don't exactly own much winter gear. Boy, was I surprised when I saw the forecast! Snow beginning at 6am today and not ending until 4pm on Tuesday. As an added bonus, right there in the middle was a blizzard with 45 mph winds and 12-28 inches of snow.

We decided to stay home and do schoolwork and send Jeremy to work instead. (insert unhappy faces here....) The weather here has fit our mood. It's chilly and has drizzled off and on all day. I think this is the first day in the 13 months we've lived here that we've had lights on during the day. Usually I chase the sun around the house, strategically closing blinds to save our furniture. ;)

I think maybe we'll try to find a tree tonight. "Desert rats" indeed.
