The faith of a child...

I love the faith of a boy who every night, without fail, prays to be General Grievous (of Star Wars fame for you non-nerds!) It's not an evil dictatorship he's after though, he thinks it would be very cool to have four arms. Gotta love how the male mind works, huh?

In other news on the praying/Marshall front, the other night I made chili for dinner. Marshall doesn't care for it at all. While praying, he threw in "And I don't have to eat chili for dinner...." That in and of itself would have made a more compassionate mother vulnerable to a trip back into the kitchen. Since he knows his God can work miracles, he opened his eyes at the end of the prayer, wide with hope and expectation only to be disappointed that the dreadful swill was still before him. Anyone who knows me, knows that he knew right then and there that he would have to eat it if he were to eat that evening. It did make me feel lots of extra love for him (not to mention a pretty big helping of guilt) when he ate it without complaining.
