We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We enjoyed ours very much. My Dad and Bonnie came for a visit, so it was great to visit with them. Their visit was short, so we didn't get to do a whole lot besides just hanging out together. One afternoon we did go for a walk on the beach access in our development. It was a bit chilly, but the kids would have never noticed. They were too busy running and playing to have time to be cold. I snapped this picture of Jeremy and Marshall as they were watching the Ferry leaving. Bonnie was able to find quite the collection of pine cones on the beach that she plans to use in her Christmas decorations.
I suppose now it is time to get ready for Christmas. We bought a tree this week and it is now up and decorated. The cat is enjoying having the ornaments rearranged. She takes a few off every night while we are sleeping and like good little servants we pick them up in the morning and put them back. I have completed the bulk of the shopping already (admittedly I am feeling quite the minimalist this year). It seems absurd to have to get rid of toys to make room for new ones. They don't ask for much anyway, so I'm sure they'll be ecstatic with what they are getting. We are planning to go to PA for Christmas. Here's hoping for snow! It hasn't snowed here since 2004. Abby is probably the only one who has any recollection of playing in the dreadful stuff.
Know that we are thinking of all of you as this Christmas season is upon us. So many of you live so far away, but you are never far from our minds. We hope that it is a wonderful time and that you are able to take time to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday. Love to all!
